Schools Theatre Company

In January 1993, Robert Staunton, the former Curriculum Adviser for Drama and Dance, re-established the Schools Theatre Company, previously run by the Drama & Dance Advisory of Leicestershire County Council.

Leicestershire Schools' Theatre Company has performed beyond the county boundaries visiting schools in Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Coventry, Shropshire, Birmingham, Northampton, Cumbria and as far away as Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.

As well as a diverse curriculum support programme, the company has been commissioned by the Road Safety Unit, Drug Education Unit and most recently Connexions Leicester Shire to devise and deliver productions that explore specific issues for different age groups.
